Orly Adrenaline Rush Polishes [Swatch] & [Review] [Nail Art]

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new week! Personally, I'm hoping Monday goes by quickly.

Today I've got a couple picks from Orly's Summer 2015 neon collection, called Adrenaline Rush to show you. I ordered these sight unseen from nailsupplies.us. To make a long story short, I'm super pleased with them! I'm kind of regretting not taking a chance on the full collection actually.

Fireball, Thrill Seeker

Let's get to the swatches!

First, here is Orly- Fireball:

Fireball is described as an "atomic red," and that's...accurate. It's got orange in it, and can look hot coral in some light. VERY bright and punchy!

There is also ultra-fine pink shimmer that is pretty subtle in the bottle, but sometimes visible on the nail! It gives the overall finish a little glowy oomph!

Artificial light, three coats:

Outside, shade:

Formula: It's a little sheer, jellyish (you might call it a crelly), but the texture is fantastic! Self-levels, applies buttery, and really lovely to work with. I used three coats for swatches, but my nail line is darker than most.

Unfortunately, this does want to stain around the nails and skin upon removal. With acetone, I was able to avoid permanent staining, and I did wear it for three days with no additional nail staining, so not horrendous.

Next, here is Orly- Thrill Seeker:

Thrill Seeker is a neon lime chartreuse creme. I have a lot of bright chartreuses like this, but Thrill Seeker is the brightest and most green (less yellow-based) among them! I do want to make it clear that both of these polishes were not swatched over white.

Artificial light, three coats:

Outside, shade:

Looks much greener, and somehow more neon, outside!

Formula: It's thick, but goes on smoothly, self-leveling slowly.  The first coat is even streak-free. A second, thicker, coat was about 95% opaque for me, but I did have subtle streaks on two nails, so I went ahead with a third coat. Great texture, and doesn't dry much darker than bottle color- I would have loved it if it were a two-coater, but it's still pretty great for a color like this!

So, yes, I love both of these polishes! Yes, they took three coats, but they were three easy coats. And, for neons, that's pretty good in my book! And, obviously, the colors are incredibly stunning. (To me anyway!) I've already worn both, but I'm not ready to put them away...maybe they get to go on my toes next? Hmmm...

By the way, both sets of stamping designs come from MoYou London- Explorer 27.  Fireball was stamped with Essie- Penny Talk, and Thrill Seeker was stamped with Essie- Nothing Else Metals.

What do you think of these?

Oh my goodness! I think my favorite look is the watermarble you did with Jace, and Talia, Cecelia. Gorgeous swatches. I really love this whole collection.
