Triangle Skittle Nails with ILNP Holo Ultra Chrome Flakies [Nail Art]

Hey everyone! Today I just have a simple skittle manicure using a few of the ILNP Holographic Ultra Chrome Flakies and some Scotch tape!

thumb to pinkie: Electric Carnival (H), Phoenix (H), Atlantis (H), Paradox (H), Rapture (H)

The base color is Illamasqua- Boosh (this is seriously my new favorite black- ONE coat wonder!!!), and I just taped off the triangles with two pieces of Scotch tape. They are totally not even or symmetrical, but let's not talk about that!

LOOK at Paradox (H) on my ring finger! That one is so, so lovely!

I couldn't decide whether I wanted this look to be glossy or matte, so I decided to show you both! I had some problems with mattifying it, since I'd applied cuticle oil, and couldn't completely remove it form the nail surface first! LOL- that's like a blunder from Nail Art 101, I know. Hey, I'm not perfect!

So, I first used Essie- Matte About You, but when that didn't work completely on all nails, I went back over with Butter London- Matte Finish...a couple of times. Haha!

I think I like it this way more!

What's your favorite way to wear flakies or use them in nail art?

*Disclosure: polishes in this post were provided to me as press samples for honest review, and all opinions are my own.

Thanks Jeanatte!! I initially planned it to be matte, but when I put the quick-dry top coat on it..it was so glossy and nice, so I had to show that too, haha!
