Here is Color Club- Harp On It from the highly anticipated Halo Hues collection! I had to wait quite a few days for some sun so I could swatch this.

Artificial light, two coats:

Window- filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

Sun!

It's a really vibrant linear holo! I wasn't expecting these to be that holographic, to be honest. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Formula: This is one of the best holographic formulas I have encountered. It's not thin, only needs two coats, and absolutely does not drag at all! It applies like a regular polish. Love.
That said, this type of formula seems prone to bubbling if you use coats that are too thick, so be careful. I had bubbling issues with both Harp On It and Halo-graphic, because I habitually use thick coats (user error).
Silver holographic goodness comparison time!

Butter London- Dodgy Barnett, Color Club- Harp On It, Color Club- Worth The Risque
Under artificial lighting, they all look relatively similar:

But, not in the sun:

You can see that Harp On It is a much stronger holo than either Butter London- Dodgy Barnett or Color Club- Worth The Risque!
It reminds me of Nfu Oh- #61, but without the terrible draggy formula! Is this the new silver linear holographic holy grail? I think so!

It's worth noting that Butter London- Dodgy Barnett takes three coats for opacity, while both Color Clubs need just two coats (although Worth The Risque is a bit thinner than Harp On It).
What do you think? Is there a reason to own all three? Personally, I will be purging Dodgy Barnett and Worth The Risque, as I can't see myself ever wearing them when I have Harp On It around.
Really cool! I've been eyeing color club for a while... just too lazy to order! I have to do it! Gorgeous swatches.
ReplyI'm sure you know, but sometimes you can find sets in Ross or TJ Maxx. Although not these holos, because they're too new. :)
thanks for your comparisons! helped me made a decision. was deciding on harp on it and worth the risque.
ReplyYou're welcome! I'm so glad it was helpful to someone! :)
