Essie Leggy Legend Polishes [Swatch] & [Review] [Nail Art]

Hey everyone! Today I have my picks from Essie's Fall 2015 collection, Leggy Legend, to show you!

Polishes:

L to R: Frock 'N Roll, Leggy Legend, Color Binge

There are three other shades in the six piece collection, but these three spoke to me at the time of purchase- haha!  Let's get into it!

First, here is the bright orange/red, Essie- Color Binge:

Color Binge is a vibrant red-leaning orange creme. It's maybe not the most unique color ever, but it's gorgeous and very impactful. Some people will see this color as red, and some people will think it's orange. I think it's more on the orange side, personally!

Artificial light, two coats:

This does dry down slightly darker and cooler-toned than liquid bottle color.

Formula: It's pretty pigmented with a nice texture: very forgiving and self-leveling. It dries down quickly as well, and is opaque in two coats!

Next the namesake of the collection, Essie- Leggy Legend:

Leggy Legend is a metallic, copper-toned bronze. There is a mix of very sparkly gold shimmers and pink shimmers. (There might even be green as well.)

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula: It's got a nice viscosity, but the first time I applied the first coat, I got a weird sort of wrinkling effect. It seems like you must use a thin coat to avoid that. It dries down quickly though, and the second coat clings to itself nicely. Two coats were nicely opaque! No brushstrokes!

Finally, here is Essie- Frock N' Roll:

Frock N' Roll has a muted, grey-ed out, ever-so-slightly eggplant base filled with silver shimmer that can look gold at certain angles.

Artificial light, two coats:

This is appropriately vampy for Fall- love! I did wear this for a day on both hands, and the shimmer is a bit underwhelming in person, as can sometimes happen with deep shades like this.

Formula: Thick, creamy, pigmented, and basically opaque in one coat! Seriously fantastic formula- I was a bit blown away! I used two coats for swatches, but would have only done one for normal wear. (Actually only did one coat on my right hand nails.)  A++!

And, yes, if you hadn't noticed, all three of these watermarble really nicely!

Leggy Legend in particular was a great marbler!

Overall: I'm digging these three shades together, but apart they lose some of their luster for me. They are all pigmented and pretty, but none are extremely unique or mind-blowing. The most unique is Leggy Legend, having the subtle pink shimmers that set it apart from other bronzes like this.  Also, the shimmer in Frock 'N Roll fell a little flat for me in person.

Formula-wise, all were pretty great, so I can't complain there! I do sort of regret not getting the blue from this collection to try. Hmmm...

What do you think?
Have you tried any of the other polishes from this release?
