Here's yet another pink Illamasqua! (I didn't even think about that when organizing posts, but oh well! Deal with it!)
Illamasqua- Ouija was released as part of Illamasqua's Summer 2013 Paranormal collection. The polishes in this collection are a bit unique in that they all glow under UV spectrum (black) lighting.

Ouija is a medium fuchsia pink shot through with a ton of silver shimmer, and there seems to be a lot of purple in this pink.
Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

This polish is beautiful in its own right, even without the special UV properties. The density of the silver shimmer makes the finish look very metallic, so if you don't have a medium metallic pink....

The money shots! Under UV blacklight:

Caveat: I found it challenging to photograph using UV spectrum lighting, since the one blacklight (CF) bulb I have is not very bright. I ended up shooting in extremely low light, photography-wise, and as a result the quality suffered. Hopefully, you can get an idea, though.

It didn't really come through in the photos, but Ouija glows a little warmer-toned than its daylight color: more of a coral-pink. Very cool.

Formula: Medium-thick, and like almost every Illamasqua I've tried, the formula is superb. It glides on the nail easily, dries quickly, and is opaque in two coats. No issues whatsoever- beautiful.
What do you think? Cool or gimmicky? Somewhere in between?
This is beautiful. I'd wear it even if it wasn't black-light enhanced.
ReplySuch a gorgeous color!
