Recently, Illamasqua had a "Secret Sale," for which you had to be an Illamasqua.com account holder (of course you could have just joined up if you weren't). They had deep discounts on a lot of stuff, but I was mostly interested in the polish, since it's my favorite after all! Of course, I took the opportunity to beef up my Illa collection!

Let me say that I took full advantage of this sale, because you do have to pay an extravagant airmail fee for any International orders containing nail polish (which is definitely a bit of a drag).

All of these polishes were on sale (most for £5, which is an amazing deal!) except for Facet, which I obviously had to snag since I don't think it's been released in the US yet? I have been lemming it so hard!
Throb and Spartan were in a duo that was on sale for £7.50, and although I wasn't really lemming either, I could not pass up that price. AND, Spartan is so much lovelier than any picture I have seen online. I also don't have a red exactly like Throb, so I am pretty pleased about that.

ReplyYep, Unnatural is a jelly but it's pretty pigmented and opaque for a jelly, I think. It went opaque in two coats on a swatch stick for me, so probably two or three on the nail will work.
Hambone looks specially handsome today with his bandana :) I heard about this sale but the exorbitant shipping cost for nail polish made me think twice about ordering and, in the end, I didn't. I look forward to your swatches because I don't own any Illamasquas yet, but maybe I'll pull the trigger on the next sale ;)
ReplyAw, thank you! I like navy on him a lot too! The shipping really is a bummer- it's pretty much highway robbery- I feel ya! Sephora sells Illa too, if you didn't know. :) But they don't carry every color, and often don't get the new releases in a timely manner.
