Today I have swatches of the Midnight Masquerade mini collection to show you!

First up is Cult Nails- Ms. Conduct:


Ms. Conduct is a dark, smokey taupe: part grey & part brown. Maybe there's a hint of purple in there too. I've seen this shade over and over in many iterations, so I'll leave it up to you to judge whether or not it's unique or interesting!

Artificial light, two coats:



Window-filtered daylight:



Outside, shade:



Formula: It's got a medium viscosity- neither too thick or too thin- and is very nearly opaque in one coat. I used two coats just to be safe with the flash.  It's very workable and forgiving, and I had no issues with cuticle drag. A+.

Next, a shimmer finish, Cult Nails- Midnight Mist:


Midnight Mist is an olive base with gorgeous fine, copper shimmer.  Almost a faded army green...

 Artificial light, two coats:


This color is very "Fall" to me: it's the shade of some of the fallen leaves after they've been on the ground for a while.

Pretty!

Formula: It's on the thinner side, and the first coat applies smoothly without being too streaky.  The second coat is opaque and glides on pretty buttery- very nice!

Lastly, Cult Nails- Masquerade:


Masquerade is greeny-teal base filled with intense, pink-orange duochrome shimmer with a glassfleck finish.  Let's be honest: this is the clear show-stopper of this collection.  The pictures pretty much speak for themselves.

Formula: It has a thinnish consistency and is also a little bit sheer, although builds well.  Application is smooth, and I really had no trouble! Opaque in three coats, although did look a little thinner at the tips of my nails, so next time I'll just layer it over something else!

If you use thicker coats, which seems to work just as well, you might be able to get away with just two.
