Misa- Forbidden Lust [Swatch]

Hey everybody! Before we get started with this swatch, I've just got some news! This upcoming week, I'll be going out of town to Denver, Colorado for vacation until the 19th! I'm really, really, super excited, since I've never been there before, and I'm hoping to make some good landscape photos- and just generally get Rocky Mountained in the face! Haha!

So, to tide over Polish Hound, I've got quite a few guest posters that are going to take the helm for a bit! I'm really excited about this as well, since I've never had guest posts on the blog before, and it feels like I'm really tying into the nail blogging community somehow. Does that make sense? I am a cheeseball!

Onto the polish! Today I've got an older Misa polish to show you. Misa is really one of my favorite commercial brands, and I feel like it's very, very underrepresented on my blog! I should fix that!

Anyway, this is Misa- Forbidden Lust from the Fall 2008 Poisoned Passion collection.  Despite the cringe-worthy name of this polish and overall collection (so 1980s trashy romance novel-esque), this shade is gorgeous, so I'm happy to share it with you! In fact, I think Poisoned Passion was one of Misa's better Fall collections.

Forbidden Lust is a mid-tone warm purple shimmer. The base is a bit warmer than the shimmer that is in it, and I did have to color-correct these photos in post slightly, as purples in general make wonky photos.

Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

It's such a royal-looking purple shade in natural light!

Outside, shade:

Formula: It's on the thinner side, but still controllable, and the pigmentation is still decent for this level of viscosity.  The second coat feels much thicker, clinging well to the first, and goes on like butter- opaque in two coats for me!

Hopefully, I'll be able to keep in touch a little during my vacation, but I'm a Luddite who doesn't use a smartphone, so we'll see how it goes!  Hope everyone stays safe and happy until then!

PS: Hambone is staying with his best girl-dog-friend while I'm away, so it's like a mini-vacation for him too. Hopefully he won't be too upset about my leaving. Maybe there will be pictures!

Its a nice purple but I've seen a lot of similar ones to it. Wonderful swatches and review on it though. Have fun on your vacation too.
