Zoya Ignite Fall 2014 Collection [Swatch] & [Review]

Hello and Happy Labor Day, everyone! Today I've got half of Zoya's fall offering, Ignite, to show you! Ignite consists of six glassfleck shimmer finish polishes in rich, wonderful seasonal jewel tones.  Jewel tones are my favorite, so I won't pretend to hide my excitement for these!

Now, a bit of a caveat (and a bummer) about my swatches: I was able to photograph two of these polishes normally, but then, in a strange fluke of a coincidence, both of my camera strobes died on me! Can you even believe that?! They are both in the repair shop as we speak.  So, for four of these polishes, the quality of light will be poorer.  The key light, especially, will be a little overpowering, as I didn't have anything to create fill with (which normally balances out the key). Sorry! I am going to wait until I have a working strobe to swatch the sister collection of cremes, Entice.

Now, on to the swatches!

First, the polish I was most excited for upon seeing the promo images, Zoya- Yuna:

Yuna is described as "full-coverage warm grey with copper and gold liquid metal."  The base is a deeper grey, but to me, it looks like almost a bluish grey when you try to isolate it from the shimmer. When you do take the shimmer into account, the entire polish does pull warm, even greenish!

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula: The viscosity is pretty perfect in my opinion: slightly on the thicker side, but not too thick, and spreads over the nail well. It's very richly pigmented, and dries down very quickly as well.  Two super easy coats for opacity!

Here is Zoya- Autumn:

Autumn is described as a "varnished copper liquid metal." I'd say that's pretty accurate. It's really a burnt umber kind of color: a bronzey orange.

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula: It's very similar to Yuna, but maybe slightly thinner, and slightly less opaque- although, don't get me wrong: it's still super pigmented, and two coat coverage was perfect for me!  Very, very nice!
--

Next is the gorgeous greeny blue, Zoya- Remy.  Remy is described as "a brilliant indigo with copper and gold liquid metallic."  To me, there is nothing indigo about this color! It may be that the base is way cooler-toned than the shimmer, but the shimmer takes the entire polish almost into teal territory.

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula: Remy is a little thicker than most of the rest of the Ignite polishes. Yet, it's not too thick, spreads over the nail easily, and just feels really luxurious. I loved using this formula! No problems to report, and opaque in two coats!

Here is Zoya- India, described as "a deep, luxurious red with gold liquid metallic shimmer."  That about covers it! This is the kind of very dark red that looks blackish around the edges and glowy where the light hits.

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula:The viscosity is on the thicker side, but not quite as thick as Remy or Sansa.  It glides over the nail surface and self-levels super nicely, like the others. Opaque in two coats!

And, Zoya- Teigen, described as "a full-coverage pink toned cranberry with a copper liquid metal."  That's a fair description. The base is much cooler than the warm shimmer that is in it.

In the bottle, Teigen and India look a little bit similar, but you can see that that is not the case once they are applied to the nail.

Artificial light, two coats:

Formula: It has a similar viscosity to Autumn, and is perhaps the sheerest in the collection. That's not really to say that it's sheer though.  Many of these polishes are so opaque, you'll be able to scoot by with maybe just one thicker coat, but Teigen will probably need two for the opaquest look.
--

Last, here is the beautiful (and awesomely named) Zoya- Sansa, described by Zoya as "a deep eggplant with gold metallic sparkle..."   A nice thing about Sansa is that it has the most contrast between base color and shimmer color out of all of these polishes, in my opinion.

Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

Sansa is beautiful in photos, but didn't come alive for me on the nail very often, since it's so dark.

Formula: Sansa is about the same thickness as Remy: very luxurious and pigmented, yet applies effortlessly. There is seriously (in my opinion) nothing negative to say about the formulas of any of these polishes.  They were all a joy to use, and I wouldn't change a thing!
--

That's it!

Overall, I have to say that an all glassfleck, Fall-inspired Zoya collection can get nothing but love from me. This is a finish that Zoya does so well, and the fact that the formulas were all fantastic (Seriously no complaints whatsoever!) is just icing on the cake. All of the colors are wearable for me (and, in fact, I did wear them all for at least one day- Sansa for 4 (it wore very well!)). My favorites are Teigen, Remy, and Yuna! And, I have to say that although Autumn is not ideal for my skin tone, it doesn't clash as much as I thought it would, so it's a favorite too!

I also want to mention that, although these polishes are packed with shimmer, they were all easy to get off with nail polish remover, so you won't have to struggle with the foil method or anything like that. An extra bonus!

What do you think of these? Do you guys like this type of finish?
Have you picked up any of these new Ignite shades?

*Disclosure: these polishes were provided to me as press samples for honest review, and all opinions are my own.
