Autumn is my favorite season, so I thought I'd throw in one last Fall-appropriate swatch before Winter arrives! So, today I have Zoya- Colette to share with you!
Colette is originally from the Winter 2006 Magique collection. 2006! That actually predates my serious interest in nail polish, but this color is now part of the core line, and you can still find it on Zoya.com.
I decided to swatch this one...well, because I was really itching to wear it, to be honest! I think it's such a perfect Fall color! If pumpkin spice was a color, this would probably be it.

Colette has an orange-brown base (almost like red clay) filled with bronzey-gold shimmer.
Artificial light, three coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

Formula: It is on the sheerer side of things and the viscosity is also on the thinner side. But, it goes on nicely, and the layers dry down quickly.
Two coats were very nearly opaque and not streaky, except for thinner patches at the cuticle and tips of my nails (I find that that's where I put the most pressure during each brush stroke). So, I used three coats for swatches, but this could be easily opaque after two with a more careful application. Visible brush strokes were nonexistent in person.
What do you think?
Do you like colors like this?
This color totally reminds me of caramel. Its nice!
ReplyLisa nailed it. Caramel is the closest thing I think of too when it comes to describing the color. The shimmer is so lovely.
ReplyNow that's one I don't have. Perfect fall color. :)
ReplyI don't think I'd like this one with my skin tone, but your swatches are AMAZING. That pic in the window-filtered light? Fantastic, like a pice of art.
ReplyTo be honest, it wasn't super great with my skin tone either, but still pretty enough to wear! And THANK YOU!!
ReplyIt is!! :)
ReplyYou're right!
ReplyYes, caramel!
