Today I have two polishes from Rescue Beauty Lounge's recent Blogger 2.0 collection to show you!
First up is Rescue Beauty Lounge- NailsandNoms:

NailsandNoms is a cheery tangerine-type of orange base containing beautiful aqua blue microshimmer. This type of orange has a good bit of yellow in it, and is both Summer and Fall appropriate.
Artificial light, three coats:

The color makes me thirsty!
Window-filtered daylight:

You can probably tell that this one dries much darker than bottle color, which was disappointing! It ends up looking more straight-orange, and less tangerine.
Outside, shade:

Sun:

The shimmer is definitely more prominent in the sun ^, but that's normal. In all other lighting situations, I felt like it sank into the base more that I would have liked.
Formula: It's on the sheer side with the first coat being very streaky- but the viscosity is actually sort of thick. It does self-level a minute amount, but is very prone to cuticle drag, so be careful. You can't really go over the same area more than once during each coat. The faster and more efficient you are at applying each coat, the better this formula will perform. (Although by "better" I still mean way below average, and barely usable.) I also encountered a lot of bubbling.
In addition, the consistency almost has a bit of graininess(?) to it. I used three coats, and would have needed four to even out streaky areas and obscure VNL, but with a polish this thick, four coats would have just looked thick and gluey, so I stopped. Bummer. This one would benefit from underwear.
To be honest, I struggled with this formula and had to scratch my first application and start over, and still didn't end up with a good result.

Rescue Beauty Lounge- Scrangie 2.0 is a complex polish:

It has a bronzey base filled with variously-colored shimmer: gold/orange, teal, green... it's sort of a grungy swamp color. Love it!
Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

It's got a noticeable greenish cast to it, and would really flatter warm/darker skin tones. That said, it somehow did not look as awful on my cool skin as I thought it would. (Maybe because of the teal/blue shimmer particles?) Bonus.
Outside, shade:

Sun:

Formula: Very nice! It's got a medium viscosity and is very saturated. Glides on the nail easily. Two coats are all you need...this formula is basically a dream.

And there you have it. I have mixed feelings about these; Scrangie 2.0 is very complex and interesting, and has a killer formula. Win! On the other hand, I was so excited for NailsandNoms, but was majorly disappointed by the very sub-par formula, the polish drying down to a darker color, and the fact that the beautiful blue shimmer sinks into the base. When I pay $20 USD for a nail polish, I expect it to be perfect! But that's just me.
Has anyone tried any of the other RBL Blogger 2.0 polishes?
I can't decide if I like Scrangie 2.0 or not. In some lights it looks really pretty but others...meh. Great swatches though!
