Here's Part 2 of the Zoya Fall 2013 Pixie Dusts, the cooler-toned shades!
First is Zoya- Chita:

Chita is a saturated forest green with tonal light green (dark chartreuse?) glitter particles.
Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

Sun!

Formula: Very pigmented, and basically opaque in one coat. I used two coats just to be safe, but wore just one coat on my non-swatching hand, and really couldn't tell the difference. This was a lovely formula. Also dries down quickly.

Next, the blue of the collection, Zoya- Sunshine:

Sunshine is a medium navy blue with tonal lighter blue glitter particles. Overall this blue has a bit of a dusty quality, but it is still very saturated at the same time.
Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

There also seems to be some silver shimmer mixed in, but it is the light blue glitter than does most of the talking in this polish, and the silver just gives more of a background texture, if that makes sense.
Outside, shade:

Sun!

Formula: Very pigmented, and basically a one-coat wonder! I did two for good measure, but, like Chita, I don't feel like you really need the second.
--
Lastly, here is the neutral, Zoya- Tomoko:

Tomoko is hard to pin down. It's a soft neutral: maybe a light champagne color with hints of a yellow undertone.
Artificial light, three coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

I was intrigued by this one most of all, and it didn't disappoint. I couldn't stop checking out my nails.
It is really bright and reflective, and somehow delicate at the same time. It really elongated my fingers too. That said, it's not perfect for cool skin tones, and in some situations gave me a small case of "lobster hands," that probably only I would notice. Tomoko will look fabulous on darker-skinned people!
Outside, shade:

Sun!

Formula: It's on the sheer side, but builds nicely. I used three thin coats for swatches, but some people might be happy with two. It dries down very quickly like the others. I should mention that this is really pretty at one coat also- there's VNL, but it's more delicate and slightly more subtle.

That's it! I was really happy with this collection. I loved the Summer Pixie Dusts I tried also, but I think some of these Fall colors are really unique and versatile.
What do you think?

Aw man, these are all so insanely sparkly! I'm so in love with the bokeh effect on your pics, great shots as always :)
ReplyThank you! I just try to use a small depth of field, and that happens as a result! :D
WOW, your photos of these are amazing! All three are lovely. The two darker ones have slowly been growing on me.
ReplyWhy thank you! I actually really like Chita...it grew on me a lot when I wore it.
Your perfect close-up photos have convinced me I need Chita!!!
