Two-tone Holo Nails: ILNP Mega X & Float On for Summer 2015 [Nail Art]

Hey everyone! Today I have a super special sneak peek for you! This is a nail art look with two of the brand new for Summer 2015 ILNP shades!

There are two distinct collections in the upcoming release: 11 new Summer polishes as well as 10 new Ultra Holos! These will be available for pre-order Friday, June 12.

Artificial light:

The beautiful cerulean blue polish is an Ultra Holo called Float On, and the base polish is the already-famous Mega (X)! Both have incredibly strong holographic effect, but Mega (X) is really crazy- check it out!

Outside, sun:

Hnnng! For this look, I started with a base (two coats) of Mega (X). I applied a quick dry top coat (HK Girl); then, I applied french tip guides to get the semi-circle/ half-moon curve, as well as KBShimmer straight vinyls for the center line. Then I applied one generous coat of Float On, and quickly removed the vinyls. I added a square, silver stud accent to the ring nail.

All these photos show the nails topped with Glisten & Glow- HK Girl, and there's no dulling of the holographic finish to be found here!

Outside, shade:

You can see that even in the shade, the holo particles are trying to light up, but they're not overpowering. I think both polishes look beautiful this way too!

Up close!

By the time this post is live I should have the bottle shots photographed, and that post should go up Friday or Saturday.  Hopefully Friday!

I've already swatched all of the Ultra Holos, and am completely in love with them! Those will be presented in two parts, ASAP, although it is a lot of photos to sort through, select, and edit- typically for ten polishes, I shoot a little over 1,000 RAW images since I'm photographing several different angles and lighting setups/ macro, ect.  That sounds like a ton, but it's actually pretty streamlined these days. /behind the scenes info, LOL!

The Summer set of polishes is stunning too, and I can't wait to show you the bottle shot eyecandy! I will also be swatching those shortly!

*Disclosure: polishes in this post were provided to me as press samples for honest review, and all opinions are my own.

These look AWESOME and wow, you've got your editing work certainly cut out for you! Thank you so much for all that you do, I totally understand the amount of work going in here! I wonder how these polishes compare to Dance Legend Wow Prisms. And your macros by the way are KILLER. :) Totally on the edge of my seat for the rest of your posts! :)

Thanks Traci! And yay for understanding the behind the scenes work, haha! I don't have any of those Dance Legend Prisms..and it's hard to say from photos whether the particles sizes are similar or not. I don't know! Thank you thank you about the macros! <3
