Nailstalgia: OPI- Jade is the New Black [Swatch] [Nail Art]

Friday! Hey everyone! Welcome to this month's Nailstalgia, where we'll revisit an older commercial shade that is generally well-known in the nail blogging world! Nailstalgia time always sneaks up on me since the last Friday of the month is not quite the very end of the month. I never expect it!

Today I've got OPI- Jade is the New Black to share! If you haven't heard of this polish, you must be living under a rock like Starfish Patrick, because it's probably one of the most well-known OPIs and one of the most popular green cremes!

You'll have to forgive my separated-looking bottle! I've actually had this one for a few years and no amount of rolling or shaking has been able to recombine it fully. I'm convinced that it's just pigment stuck to the inside of the glass. Maybe? I don't know! At any rate, it doesn't affect the outcome on the nail because I compared my nails to the original swatch stick I have of this, and they were identical.

Anyway, Jade is the New Black is a medium blue-leaning green creme. There is just enough coolness to this green to keep it from clashing with cool-toned skin. I like that!

Artificial light, two coats:

Polishes used for the watermarble accent:

OPI- Jade is the New Black, Zoya- Skylar, Zoya- Blu

Jade is the New Black actually marbles very well, spreading in the water nicely!

Formula: It has a thinner viscosity, but is actually pretty pigmented. It can run away into the cuticle if you're not paying attention, but it does self-level, and has a nice texture otherwise. Opaque in two coats!

What do you think?
Have you worn this one?
