Sally Hansen CSM: Gilty Party [Swatch]

Here's a polish I had never seen before, or heard of, until idly browsing the Sally Hansen displays in a local Walgreens last Wednesday.  I'm guessing it's part of the new line, because I could not find swatches of it online anywhere.

It's Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure- Gilty Party, not to be confused with SHCSM- Gilty Pleasure, which is actually a gold. (They sure do appreciate the gilt puns...)

Gilty Party is a  metallic foil (Am I boring you guys to death with foils yet?!) that straddles the line between silver and pewter.  I suppose I would call it a dingy silver.  It's a really interesting color. Leans gold in some lights, and pinkish in others.

Artificial light, two coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

It almost has a bronze feel to it sometimes, due to micro coppery flakes within the base color.  The tiny micro flakes that this has reminds me of Zoya- Ziv, actually.  Although the two polishes are different colors, it's the same idea!

Close up:

Up close the flake particles almost look red-orange duochromey, but I didn't really notice that in real life.

Formula:  Effortless to apply, opaque in two coats.  Nothing much to say- it's a great formula!

It also wore fairly well too.  Usually, foils chip like mad on me, but I wore this for two whole days (a lot for me!) and just had one minor chip & slight tip-wear.  (I used OPI- Nail Envy beneath, and INM- Out The Door on top.)

Wow, this looks like a dead-on dupe of OPI's Designer de Better from Muppets collection. Your photos are amazing!

Wow you may be right. I don't have it to compare, but DdB looks slightly, just slightly, warmer than Gilty Party to me. But who knows! They look so close. :)
