So I finally picked up an XL squishy stamper on Amazon, and I have to say that it makes stamping life so much easier for me!
Now, it may not transfer images with all of the fidelity that the Konad stamper does (you can see here that the stamp is not completely solid- whether that is the stamper, polish, or technique, I'm not really sure), but it does make picking up designs and transferring them to your nail a whole lot easier.
The XL squishy stamper has made stamping fun for me again- and less of a challenge!

The base is Revlon- Autumn Spice with Orly- Rage used for the stamping. The design is from Bundle Monster plate BM- 406 from the 'Create Your Own' set.

Do any of you guys prefer one specific stamper over another? I'd love to know!
Very cool! The design is like some combination of rose petals and fall leaves, I like it!
ReplyAnd I agree about the squishy stamper, it is a godsend and I never stamp with anything else any more.
Thank you! It does look like petals now that you mention it!
That is fabulous!

I recently received an XL squishy stamper too, and it's fabulous! I had a decent technique with my Konad stamper, but I could never align the images right, which I can do now. I think that the image is not as crisp as you'd like because, I think, Orly Rage is more like a foil kind of metallic? (I have Luxe, which is like the same thing but in gold), it seems to me that if it had been a chrome or a creme, it'd look just the same as with the other stamper. But it looks gorgeous as it is! It gives it a kind of distressed look that I really dig with the color combo... like, steampunk or something :)
ReplySorry I got a little chatty, I just loved your mani so much. I look forward to seeing more of your stamped manis :)
Yes! Exactly! It makes aligning them so much more intuitive. I think you're right about Rage too...being a foil and not stamping solid areas. Also, no need to apologize! :)
I love how Rage almost gives a textured look to this design! Looking forward to seeing you stamp more :) I've never tried the squishy stamper, but I keep hearing about it.. Maybe I should give it a try
ReplyIt does look kind of distressed...You should try it! I was never very good with the Konad stamper, but maybe I just need to practice more.
