Today, I have Indigo Bananas- 2% Butterscotch Ripple to show you! It seems like I wanted this polish forever, before I finally purchased it. Not sure why that is, but now it's a welcome addition to my growing Indigo Bananas stash!
This one is from the Willy Wonka-themed release, called Paradise (released last December).

2% Butterscotch Ripple is described as a dark plum base with predominantly gold to green colorshifting GLITTER (not shimmer or pigment) in it, along with a mix of other glitters that sparkle green, gold, or an assortment of rainbow colors.
In fewer words: shifty rainbow glittery goodness!
Artificial light, three coats:

Window-filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

All of these photos show slightly more detail than you would see at normal viewing distances, in person, so the overall effect is sort of a caramel-bronze/ winey/plum sort of shimmery color. Lovely!

Formula: The base is quite sheer, so it's the glitter that will be doing the heavy lifting in terms of coverage. That means you'll probably need three coats, but the viscosity is wonderful- not too thick or thin, making it very easy to apply. I used three for swatching, but if you're careful and use a thicker second coat, you might be able to get away with two. The other option is just to layer this over a complimenting base color, which many have done (and it looks great)!
On my non-swatching hand, I used only two coats, and I think it looks just fine, and if anything, the base is just a little less dark.
Butterscotch Ripple is visually smooth with one layer of topcoat, but I used two to make it super smooth to the touch.
What do you think? I think this is a must-have Indigo Bananas polish!
This is gorgeous! All those little glitter bits are to die for!

ReplyOh wow, gorgeous! You may have created a lemming.
ReplyI found plenty of those sticky drawer liners at my local Dollar Tree! But I've also seen various blogs use placemats from Target and such.
ReplyBeautiful! I have an IB polish and I absolutely love it. I love how the formula is just right.

ReplyWow, so cool! I didn't know it was glitter, I thought it was some kind of shimmer but the glitter is gorgeous! <3
