Today I have Color Club- Pure Energy, from the Summer 2009 Electro Candy collection, to show!

This is a polish that I became obsessed with after purchasing it for my Santee during the Summer Nail Polish Secret Santa that I participated in. It was on my Santee's wishlist, and once I saw it in person, I pretty much had to have it myself!



Pure Energy is a vivid, almost-neon, light blue (aqua?) base filled with ultrafine greenish-aqua shimmer.  The contrast between the base and the shimmer really makes the polish glow!

If it's a sunny day, and you stand in the shade, this polish just glows! I wore it for five days (can you even believe that?!), and experienced no chipping and no tipwear, which is just insane. I was impressed!

Formula: Its only fault, really, is that it is a bit sheer.  It took me four coats for an acceptable level of opacity, and there is still VNL in super strong lighting. However, the actually formula is very nice, consistency-wise. It is not too thick or thin, and glides on the nail very nicely with no issues! I experienced no bubbling or dragging, and it dries down very quickly, allowing you to quickly build the coverage.

If four coats seems like a pain, you can always layer it, but it is very beautiful on its own, as you can see.  I honestly didn't mind the extra trouble with this one.
