China Glaze- Shore Enuff [Swatch] & [Comparison]

Hi guys! Today, I've got China Glaze - Shore Enuff, from the Summer 2014 Off Shore Collection, to show you! There is a quick comparison at the end, so stay tuned! (Or scroll directly down, haha!)

Shore Enuff is a vibrant, neon(ish?) lime green creme. I resisted all of the other Off Shore polishes, but this one eventually called to me! Let's take a look!

Artificial light, three coats:

You might notice in that second photo above that the tone of green is a bit different. It's actually the most color accurate on-the-nail shot I have! This color really wants to photograph lighter in value, and bluer than it truly is (of course it'll still appear bluer in shade and natural light sources), and I was a bit surprised when I saw it in person for the first time.

Window-filtered daylight:

Outside, shade:

Formula: The first coat is streaky, and it does want to cuticle drag a bit, although will partially self-level to correct it.  If you don't overwork each coat, dragging/ pulling won't really be too much of an issue. It dries down quickly to a semi-matte finish. The second coat goes on much more smoothly than the first and is also much more opaque, but I did need three to obscure the nail line sufficiently.

I did get bubbling on a couple of nails where I overloaded the brush slightly during the first coat. Bubbling is pretty much my worst nightmare amongst the various things that can go wrong while polishing, so I'm disappointed.

Quick Comparison Time!

left to right: Illamasqua- Nurture, China Glaze- Shore Enuff, OPI- You Are So Outta Lime!

I was surprised to see how similar Shore Enuff was to OPI- You Are So Outta Lime!. Online, swatches seem to look a little different (actually both of them are all over the place, just do a GIS), and I wouldn't have ordered both had I known.  Luckily, you guys get a nice comparison out of it!

I also have my favorite bright, green, neon stand-by: Illamasqua- Nurture.  Nurture is pretty much the best green ever, so these two have a lot to live up to.

Let's take a look, artificial light:

You can immediately see that Nurture is much brighter than either of the other new releases. It's the only one that I would truly call a neon, really. The OPI is slightly lighter than Shore Enuff, but not by a lot, and no person (not even me!) needs to own both! They are quite dupish!

I'd love to know what you think!

So fresh! It's funny how much polish companies try to near-dupe each other, huh?

Is the OPI or CG a better formula?

They are very similar. The OPI seems slightly thinner, but I haven't actually used that one on MY nails, so I'm not sure if it has unknown issues. Maybe since it is thinner, it won't cause bubbling?
