Essie- Bottle Service is from the Summer 2013 Neons collection.

Bottle service is a bright fuchsia pink in the bottle, and more of a strawberry, medium-pink on the nail. (Maybe cool magenta?)
Artificial light, three coats:

As I mentioned before, it dries down to a different color than bottle color- to a warmer, more red-toned pink. Also, I wouldn't actually call this shade a neon. Yes, it is a bright Summer color, and very pretty really, but it's not bright enough to be a true neon.

Formula: The formula is crelly-ish, if not just a straight jelly; it's sheer, and glides on nails easily, self-levelling well. It dries semi-matte, but does reflect a small amount of light (shown here with Revlon- Quick Dry Top Coat).
There is noticeable visible nail line after two coats, but it looked squishy, so I left it there...initially. Later, I went out into daylight, and realized the visible nail line was really intrusive, so I added another coat to my "swatching" hand. (Alternatively, you could use underwear for this, or even a plain white.)
Another plus is you can use relatively thick coats without creating bubbles, which made me happy.
Hmm strawberry-pink sounds delicious! I love this colour <3
ReplyIt's a good one! Not bottle color though...
I love this color, it's pretty unique, and the finish sounds great. Lovely swatches!
